WHAT ARE YOU TESTING FOR? “We’re with the Senior Environment Corps. We come out here every month to test the water. I'm testing for dissolved oxygen. It’s a three stage process. We add manganese sulfate and the dissolved oxygen in the water oxidizes- don't try to write it down; chemists can't even explain it so well. This website features photographs and video interviews that I pause to take when I am out in the community (mostly my community, Northwest Philadelphia) going about my normal business. Many of the photos have appeared as "Pictorial" or as "Close Up" in the Chestnut Hill Local. I love to meet people and, when I see someone or something interesting, I am curious to find out more. I studied photography many years ago with Don Camera (seriously!) and was exposed (pun intended) to darkroom work at the Fleisher Art Memorial. I collect photography books, black and white, color, photojournalistic, landscape, experimental.  My current inspirations are fashion and sometimes sports photography and I have begun to add some links to websites I like on this blog's homepage.
